Lets take a moment to skim the surface of a few of the hard hitters in the industry. I personally like to review products after I’ve used them extensively. Mostly because it takes time to understand the characteristics of a product. I have used things in direct sunlight that seem to give me totally different results in the shade or a temp. controlled environment. And for this reason, I will share a few that “In My Opinion” (heavy on the disclaimer vibes) are hard hitters!
- Carpro Pearl Comes in a smaller 500ml (17oz) or a bigger 34oz (1 liter) bottle. This stuff is like the tuxedo of car dressings. This can be used straight-up or dialed down by mixing it with water. I had to play with the dilution a bit to get my OCD in check, but after finding your preference, I thionk detailers and weekend warriors alike will love this product. It lays down nice, and has a sheen that makes you want to watch the owner of said dressed tires look for a open parking space in a Wal-Mart parking lot on Black-Friday! (Sooooo not gonna happen)
- Superior Products Aqua-Gloss is my go to when I’ve laid waste to all resources on my rig in the field. This too can be watered down for preferential application means and does a nice job of it. You will not get the tux sheen like mentioned in the previous referral but…. what you will get is a dressing that has the longevity and durability of a bunion pad in a runners sneaker. Find your mix, I personally go 60/40 product heavy when getting ready for road kisses.
- Meguires #40 has my heart when it comes to interior dressing. Of course there are so many options that you can toss a jelly bean in crowd of opinions and never hit the same one twice. But with that being said, a few skeets of this on a freshly steamed door panel and some wipey-wipey and VOILA! Your F350 farm trucks interior is no longer ash black, but a descent ,chaps on a rodeo hero’s thighs, light tan!
- Solution Finish has been my go to for trim restorer since I started offering the service. Trim restorers are used to bring the faded black or grey plastic trim back from their ashy looking existence. Said to have been put together by a person who understood how small the molecules of the restorer needed to be in order to get into the material of which this stuff is put on. So it soaks in as opposed to just sitting on the surface and waiting on your girlfriend to brush past and ruin her nice sundress? Sounds good.. I’ll take 2 please and thank you!
